The original version of Candle In The Wind is in E major. As this key is rather difficult for the beginner at the piano, I've posted a version here in C major. The C/E chord (in the second line) means play a C chord, and have E as the lowest note (if you play 'Candle In The Wind' on the piano, you will need to play an "E" here in the left hand). Likewise with Bb/F, the F will be played in the left hand as a single note (not a chord) and the Bb is to played as a chord in the right hand. If you are following the Candle In The Wind song sheet on the bass guitar, you will always play the note that is after the '/' symbol.

Verse 2 |
| |
|
| |
Loveliness we`ve lost; these empty days without your smile. |
| |
This torch we`ll always carry for our nation`s golden child. |
| |
And even though we try, the truth brings us to tears; |
| |
All our words cannot express the joy you brought us through the years. |
| |
|

Verse 3 |
| |
|
| |
Goodbye England`s rose; may you ever grow in our hearts, |
| |
You were the grace that placed itself where lives were torn apart. |
| |
Goodbye England`s rose, from a country lost without your soul, |
| |
Who`ll miss the wings of your compassion more than you`ll ever know. |
